Connecticut Farmers Markets Thrive in Winter
The winter markets opened after an enormously successful summer and fall season for the more than 90 farmers’ markets and farm stands across the state, in response to the growing interest and demand for locally grown produce and goods in Connecticut. But winter in New England presents its challenges for generating fresh produce.
